Rocky View County has access to a number of reliable and competitively-priced utility service providers. The following contacts will help any business or individual looking to start up or relocate.


Water services (aside from those provided by the County) are available from over 70 private and co-operative water systems and suppliers, or from private wells accessing good ground water supplies. The Bow, Elbow, and Red Deer Rivers provide water to many systems serving the area.


Wastewater services are provided by the County in certain areas. Elsewhere, private, on-site systems (septic tanks) are used. Alberta Environment is responsible for wastewater treatment standards and testing.

Electricity & Natural Gas
